News Release:

March 16, 2020

Many have been inquiring about TBC’s upcoming Spring Conference in light of the ongoing worldwide pandemic. Our hope was that somehow, with conference still over two weeks away, we would see some indication that we would be able to proceed with this wonderful time together. However, as morning came today, I was greeted with news from the CDC with recommendations to cancel any event of over 50 people for the next eight weeks. With this new information, input from health professionals, and others here in leadership, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel Spring Conference for 2020.

We are also getting inquiries regarding our Summer Camp programs. At this time, we are moving forward with preparations to conduct Summer Camp sessions as normal. Please pray with us as we continuously monitor the situation and make decisions for the upcoming months. We have a good network of information that will help us through this time.

At this time, we are considering some other possible options to bring fellowship and encouragement from the Word to our brothers and sisters in remote communities. I know that Spring Conference is an important annual event that helps prepare you for the busy summer months. Because of this, I want to share some resources and ideas with you that can help fill the void of Spring Conference.

We want to encourage you to be in the Word personally. Set aside time each day to read your Bible, pray, and either sing or listen to worship music. Not sure where to start? Here are some links:

No matter the circumstances surrounding us, we know that we have a sure and confident Hope in Jesus. We do not need to fear. As we navigate this troubled time together let us “…live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” Titus 2:12,13

Together for the Gospel, Mark K. McGeeExecutive Director

“I go to learn more about God and to be able to fellowship with other Christians that have the same bond as I do and that I’m not alone. It is encouraging to me to hear other testimonies and their trials give me comfort that I am not the only one that is struggling to have a better relationship with God. It is encouraging as well, that my girls are growing up in the light of God and getting to know him more and more as they grow. Spring conference is meaningful and it helps me reset and ready my self for busy summer months that lie ahead of me.”
