Biography
Bret and Christy Zimmerman have served with SEND North in Alaska since 2000 and were excited to bring their village and ministry experience to help accomplish the vision of Tanalian Bible Camp in 2016. Most recently, the Zimmerman’s lived in Aniak, a bush village on the Kuskokwim River, where they worked for 10 years to establish the Aniak Community Church.
Bret has been involved in Emergency Medical Services, Volunteer Fire Dept., maintenance, aviation, construction, work teams and other acts of service that allow him to meet practical needs while building relationships and sharing the love of Christ in whatever situation he is in. Christy loves the people God has placed around her such as women from this region of AK, campers, TLC students, summer volunteers, and families serving in remote villages, and desires to encourage and challenge them in their journey with God.
Bret and Christy have 3 children, Daniel, Aeryn and Eliana.
